WHAT STORY WILL YOUR LIFE TELL?

I’m celebrating Memorial Day weekend in California with family and friends. We Americans are so blessed to live in a nation with freedom to worship God and live our lives to glorify God.  My thanks today goes to all the service men and women who have fought for our freedoms since we became a nation in the past, present and future.

Many come to our nation and want to change our laws to fit their views.  I say, “If you want to change our laws then go back to the country you came from.  Please don’t try to change our laws to take away our freedom.”  Our country was built on morals and values and they seem to be slipping away. I’m praying for America today because it seems the prevailing atmosphere is that anything goes. But that is not the godly view.  When a nation forsakes God’s values and morals they are always headed for destruction.

I’m praying that all believers in God will pray for our nation and its leaders. God can change the hearts of kings and He can also do the same for our elected leaders. We need men and women leading our nation that have morals and values and will allow them to influence their decisions in their leadership.

Our life is a story we are writing everyday. What story will your life tell? I think of the stories of all the service people who have fought for our nation. They have families, parents, spouses, children and siblings that they have sacrificially left to protect our nations freedoms.  Some give their lives, others return injured and others come home physically safe, but mentally wounded.

We need to pray daily for these men and women who are bravely defending our freedoms. We need to reach out to their families and let them know we appreciate their sacrifice. Their life is a story of sacrifice; ours should be a story of support and prayers for them.

When we all stand before God, the story of our life will be the deciding factor where we spend eternity.  I want my life’s story to please the Lord and He will say, “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.”
